Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)

  • You will require at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills to achieve a satisfactory result on most of our courses.
  • If you do not meet this criterion, or if English is your second language, you must advise us at time of booking. Our friendly and professional team will administer an LLN test to determine your eligibility to undertake this training.
  • We will assist you in any way we can, but we do not guarantee that every applicant will possess the level of LLN required for the assessment.
  • Please be advised that the Regulator does not allow an interpreter to be used during the mandated formal assessment of any high risk courses, including forklift.

Distribution of Certificates

In compliance with RTO regulations:

  • Certificates are to be given to each participant personally, regardless of who paid for the training. If requested, a copy of the certificate can be emailed to employers and/or supervisors.
  • Certificates returned due to wrong mailing address will be held at our office for collection.

RTO’s have 30days to issue certificates. If you need mine site access directly after completing their course, you must have your employer email our administration team to organise same-day collection.

RPL/RCC Policy

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) are standard practices within the vocational education sector. Martyr Training Services acknowledges the prior experience and qualifications of students in accordance with its obligations under the RTO Standards 2015.

Payment

Payment is required at time of booking to secure a position in a course except where under contract. Courses can be paid in full via cash sale, Purchase Order, or VHS (if under a contract arrangement). Please be advised that certificates will not be issued unless Purchase order or Payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy

Most courses have a seven-day cancellation policy however it varies from course to course. See our Student Handbook for the comprehensive cancellation policy. All communication regarding cancellations must be done via email.

Martyr Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or vary course dates or venues. Should this occur a full refund and/or an opportunity to reschedule (without penalty) will be offered.

Credits and Fee Transfer

Martyr Training reserves the right to allow delegates a “once only” transfer between courses, venues, or dates. Further transfers will incur an administration fee. Contact the office for fee information.

Course Requirements

All high-risk courses result in a licensed or regulated outcome and require attendance at full face-to-face programs. Failure to attend all training will result in a Not Yet Satisfactory result, and students will be required to re-enrol at their own expense.

Online training is invoiced upon enrolment and that issuance of online login details is considered commencing a training program. Once login details have been issued, this training is non-refundable.

Students are required to comply with all safety instruction provided by Martyr Training Services’ staff, trainers and assessors.

Martyr Training Services is adhering to COVID19 restrictions as advised by the Queensland Government and the World Health Organisation. These restrictions may change without notice. All staff, students, and visitors of Martyr Training Services are expected to comply with this advice.

Student Requirements

All courses involve some form of manual handling, such as lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, or squatting. Please dress accordingly.

Courses including CPR will require you to be kneeling on the floor for at least 2 minutes. This is criterion is mandated by the Australian Training regulation. Students who cannot kneel on the floor are not eligible to enrol in this program.

High Risk courses include mathematical calculations of a complex nature. If you require literacy or numeracy support, you must advise administration staff upon enrolment.
