Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, but currently Queensland Transport will grant three hours of logbook time for each hour with an accredited instructor for up to 10 hours. This means that just ten lessons with one of our trainers will make up 30 hours in the logbook.

While it is not a requirement to have lessons with an accredited assessor, it does offer invaluable experience for first-time drivers. Our experienced driving instructors are trained well above industry standard and participate in ongoing professional development and support – they are up to date with any changes in road rules. At Martyr Training Services, your safety is our priority. All of our vehicles are dual-controlled, meaning our assessors can step in to prevent an accident if needed.

Some people may only require one or two lessons, others may require more – it will depend on your driving experience, the frequency of driving lessons, and your confidence on the road. Your driving instructor will advise you of recommendations after each lesson.

We sure can! Please note, Queensland Transport charges a booking fee, which is be additional to the cost of your test. If you cancel your driving test, you will be refunded the amount less the booking surcharge.

Absolutely! This is something that all driver trainers should offer free of charge. When you book your driving test, just provide us with a pick-up and drop-off destination.

While we have given this a significant amount of consideration, this is not an option that we will be offering any time soon. We do not believe that it is in the best interest of our students to offer training in a vehicle that is not fitted with dual-control safety breaks. We understand how scary it can be getting behind the wheel for the first time, and we know that anxiousness can lead to simple mistakes. When you learn in a Martyr Training vehicle, our driver trainer is able to step in as needed to avoid accidents before the happen. At MTS, we have your safety in mind.
